I liked this puzzle. I came across hidden pairs and a triple. I solved it with a 349 wing with the pivot at r7c6. With a short chain it eliminates the 4 in r6c7.

It is less confusing if you look at the 47 pair in r4c6. Whether it is a 4 or a 7 the 3 in r4c9 is eliminated.

Usually someone else posts and I check my efforts against theirs. I'm not sure what the technique is called but in r8c6 there is a 14 pair. Whether it is a 1 or a 4, the 3 in r4c9 will be eliminated ...

I found an X-wing of 3s which did not solve it. I then saw some 349 wings which if I took them a couple of steps allowed me to eliminate the 9 and the 4 from r1c6. A bit sloppy but it worked.

Could someone explain to me how the xyz wing works? When I did the puzzle I could see that I couldn't have a 4 in r7c1, but that is just trial and error. Thanks.
