 I'm posting this partly in support of a comment to Keith that Menneske ratings don't always match with difficulty. (I think it's one reason why I like these puzzles.)  It would be perverse to use DPs here, & so I'm not bothering to post the original.)

				| I noticed some discussion of xy-loops fairly recently, & so speaking of the devil ....  I suspect that people would find this puzzle boring: if you see the xy-loop, that's just about it.  If you don't, it's probably dauntingly difficult. 
 Three questions.
 
 I think that the loop does 6 deletions.  Is that right?
 
 It's easy to see in this case that you could accomplish the deletions with three separate chains.  Is it always the case that you can split a loop like this?
 
 As a matter of terminology, what exactly is a nice loop?  And, come to that, what's the difference between loops & rings?
