				| I've been using the Dev version to help me learn more solving techniques.  I asked for a hint at this point in the puzzle and received 8 in in r4c1 but the app couldn't explain why.    Can anyone explain?

				| The "app" left a cryptic hint. 
 If you examine the values <1> and <6> in [row 6], you'll see that they are locked in [box 4] and can be eliminated elsewhere in [box 4]. That only leaves <8> in r4c1.

 Sudoku Susser is a great learning tool.  Search on Google, it is a free download.
 
 To load a Daily Sudoku puzzle, just right click and copy the image.  Paste (Ctrl+v) it in the Susser window.

 Thanks for the help.  I'm just starting the harder puzzles.  I will definity check out Sudoku Susser.  This site is great and people are really helpful.
