 You gave up a little early as there are some straightforward eliminations.
 
 Look at Block 9 - there are a pair of <39> which tidy up that corner quite a bit.  This is how your puzzle should look after that:

				| I had a hard time getting the grid I posted.  I copied someone elses and changed numbers.  I'll search for the advice you suggested. Perhaps the site could contain a blank template for this purpose.
