You are right, of course, keith about 8 being part of the solution.
 
 
I now realize that there was a positon earlier in the game when I did eliminate 8 from the same two cells (in box 8, r8c4,r9c6) I removed 7 from.
 
 
I come to a position in the end, which (as an alternative solution to eating the BUG+1) can be solved by coloring on 7 again. |

				| Multi coloring removed the 7 from r9c6, after which coloring on 8 solves that same cell and the whole puzzle. But instead I used the puzzle as BUG+3 practice. |

				I may have used a half M-wing, which seems to be irrelevant.
 
 
I have the impression that depending on the order in which you do the coloring (on <7> and on <8>), you end up with a different BUG+1.
