				| I got this sudoku from a local newspaper. It's rated as just Hard but I cant seem to get beyond this. The Draw/Play function on this site says the next move is a 2 in r7c6 but I cant seem to figure out why. Would anybody like to take a stab at it? I'm sure it's something not real hard but I just cant see it. Thanks

				| In column 8 there is a hidden pair (or naked quad if you prefer) which will remove a 2 in that very column - leaving a 2 in R7 only available in the hint square you suggested. | |

				| Tthanks Mogulmeister. I knew it wasnt too complex an answer. As Homer Simpson would say, DOH ! I'm sure glad this forum is anonymous. Maybe I should stick to cryptgrams and crosswords. | |

				| Not at all - I guess that's one of the reasons this forum exists. As to that being obvious - it takes a while to spot hidden pairs - which is why I saw the naked quad first ! | |

				| Without spotting the hidden pair, there is also a W-Wing on 67 in R5 and R6 that eliminates <7> from R6C4. It doesn't immediately produce the desired <2>, but it does solve the puzzle. | |
