If right that might solve it but until I have sat down with it properly I won't know. |

				Not a one stepper:

 	  | Quote: | (7=9)r1c1-(9=8)r1c9-(8=9)r9c9-(9=6)r8c7-(6=8)r6c8-(8=9)r6c6-(9=7)r36-(r1c35)=(7)r1c1

Proves r1c1 <> 9 but another step required.

This started off as an unimpressive network solution from my solver. However, I get the credit for turning it into a work of art.

There has been so much rewording of definitions, that I don't take a position anymore on differentiating them. To me the pattern is Kraken because my introduction to the term was for a fish pattern with an external fin cell that didn't play back through the patttern (like a remote fin cell). If it's not a fish pattern, then I'll probably use "almost".

Call them what you will, Kraken, finned, almost, etc., I am finding these patterns fun to find and work with plus they can be very effective.

I am (currently) referring to them all as "almost".
