Gianni! You have the wrong date in the title! Today's the 21st!
To solve it using just standard VH moves I think you need to use the 7 X-Wing in columns 4 and 9 (-7r29c5 and -7r9c6) followed by the 57-2 XY-Wing in r19c6 and r2c4 (-2r9c4). |

You don't need to use the X wing of 7 to solve
r2c4 <> 7 as this makes r1c6 = 5 and forces the UR of 29 |

Yes, I saw the UR too. Years ago I asked Marty if the VH puzzles could be solved using just the standard 3 wings (i.e. X, XY, and XYZ) and UR's and he told me that they could all be solved with just the 3 wings so even though I think UR's are easier to find than most wings, I try to solve them using just the standard wings.
When I suggested to Marty that the solution using just the 3 wings be called the 'official' solution, he instead suggested we call it the 'standard' solution! |
